- 1/2 cup sliced green onions reserve 2 tablespoons for top
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Using a pastry brush lightly coat 18 holes of standard muffin pans with melted butter. Gently press wonton skins into muffin pans and brush the top side with melted butter using a pastry brush. Bake for 8-9 minutes to lightly brown.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer beat cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, Swiss cheese, Worcestershire sauce, mayo, and garlic. Stir in chopped shrimp and green onions
- Spoon shrimp mixture into cooked wonton skins. Bake for 15 minutes turning on the broiler the last minute of baking. Stay close by, as I have always found broilers unpredictable.

The shrimp doesn’t get tough by cooking it beforehand and then some more in the oven?
Beth Pierce
I don’t think so and I have never had anyone tell me that the shrimp was tough or rubbery!!
Monica
Are these good cold?
Beth Pierce
Not as good as they are warm. Do you have a hot plate or a friends hot plate you can borrow?
Stephanie Capodanno
I am going to make these for a large party. Can I make the filling a day or 2 ahead of time & the wonton shells the day before maybe? Then heat up the filling in the microwave & pop them all in the oven before the party?
Beth Pierce
Sorry about the delay. This has been a tough one to answer. I have prepared these for a large crowd. You can prepare the filling up to a day in advance and store in an airtight container.. However I am not sure that the wonton cups would stay crispy if prepared that far in advance. I think maybe you should do a test run on the wontons and bake a few up….just the wonton cups and see if they stay crispy. I would not microwave the shrimp mixture. Instead I would take it out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes in advance. Spoon it into the shells and bake.
