Brown the bacon, then add the ground beef and cook. Add the onions, celery, and carrots, then cook. Add and cook all the spices next.

Add the butter, sprinkle in the flour, and cook. Stir in the chicken broth and add the potatoes.

Simmer and add the milk. Add the beef and bacon back to the pot.

Remove from the heat and slowly stir in the shredded cheddar. Season and serve.
