These super easy Pepperoni Crescent Rolls take just minutes to prep and cook using prepared refrigerated crescent roll dough. They are super kid-friendly and approved. Customize by adding your favorite toppings.
Pepperoni Crescent Rolls
Well, summer is in full force here, and that means lots of activities and tons of fun. Quick and easy suppers and snacks are almost a necessity around here! You have got to keep moving and shaking so you get all the rest of the chores done so you can go swimming, boating, fishing, bike riding, and all those other super fun summer activities.
These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls are delicious and quick to make for supper or lunch. They require seven ingredients, most of which you may already have in your pantry. I like to serve these for movie nights with little smokies, cold veggie pizza, and 7-layer dip.
How to make Pepperoni Crescent Rolls
First, combine the seasonings in a small bowl and set them aside. Next, beat an egg in a small bowl and set it aside. Remove the crescent dough from the package. Starting with the wide end, place a mozzarella stick on the end, and slice pepperoni or turkey pepperoni along the surface of the crescent roll. Starting with the widest end, roll into the narrowest end.
Place the crescents seam side down on an ungreased or parchment-covered baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with seasoning. Bake and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve with warm marinara sauce or pizza sauce.
Recipe notes and helpful tips
- Use name-brand refrigerated crescent rolls. I don’t want to sound like a snob, but I think they are better.
- Use dried herbs. With this particular recipe, they work better than fresh herbs.
- Other ingredients to add in small amounts include cooked bacon, onions, cooked sausage, cooked ground beef, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, and any of your other favorite pizza toppings.
- Don’t skip the beaten egg; it really does make them look AMAZING!
- Overlap the pepperoni when placing it on the crescent rolls. They will taste better and look better.
- I like to serve them with warm pizza sauce, but in a pinch, marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce works well too.
Storage and Reheat
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 300 degrees, wrapped in an aluminum foil tent, or at reduced power in the microwave.
These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls make the best kid-friendly appetizers and are perfect for birthday parties and sleepovers! Maybe you and the kids just got back from swimming, and you need a quick meal before you head out for a bike ride. If you have twenty minutes and a handful of ingredients, you can shower love on your hubby and kids. Perhaps the love will come right back to you tenfold. Enjoy my awesome friends!

Could you use Italian sausage in place of pepperoni? I would image I would need to precook it and slice it perhaps a tad thicker than the pepperoni. Not a huge fan of pepperoni, but these do look amazing.
Beth Pierce
Yes you certainly could. Enjoy!
Jim
I made these this afternoon. Absolutely outstanding!
I used more pepperoni than the recipe called for, about 1 1/2 packages. I had to cook it longer, about 23 minutes.
Great!
Beth Pierce

Could I make these and freeze them for afternoon snacks?
Beth Pierce
You know I have not tried so I hate to state one way or the other. Please let us know if you try. I will add the results to the recipe.
Beth Pierce
Thank you. They are delicious!!
Beth Pierce
You are most welcome.

Can these be made ahead and then cooked?
Beth Pierce
I am sorry I don’t think these would hold up being prepped ahead of time. Unfortunately crescent roll dough does not hold up to that.
Diane
Are these good cold? I’d like to take to an office party but would have to cook the night before. Thanks!
bpierce
I don’t really think they would be good cold because of the cheese. However I do think these would be good at room temperature. Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers
Sorry but I did not want you to be disappointed!!!

Do you put both halves of cheese stick in one present roll – if not – why 16 sticks??
bpierce
One per roll. That is error on my part. It should read 8 mozzarella sticks cut in half. Sorry about that I am correcting that right now.
Carla Sztyber
Cut in half length wise so it is still long?
Thanks! Carla
bpierce
No cut in half the other way. Sorry about the delay. I have been a little under the weather.
Kendra
How man does this recipe make with 2 packages of crescent rolls?
bpierce
It makes 16 croissants. I would say 4 people. Maybe a little more if you have little kids or you are not big eaters. Everyone here is a big eater. Could explain a lot of things!! LOL!!
