Pepperoni Crescent Rolls
Well, summer is in full force here, and that means lots of activities and tons of fun. Quick and easy suppers and snacks are almost a necessity around here! You have got to keep moving and shaking so you get all the rest of the chores done so you can go swimming, boating, fishing, bike riding, and all those other super fun summer activities.
These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls are delicious and quick to make for supper or lunch. They require seven ingredients, most of which you may already have in your pantry. I like to serve these for movie nights with little smokies, cold veggie pizza, and 7-layer dip.
How to make Pepperoni Crescent Rolls
First, combine the seasonings in a small bowl and set them aside. Next, beat an egg in a small bowl and set it aside. Remove the crescent dough from the package. Starting with the wide end, place a mozzarella stick on the end, and slice pepperoni or turkey pepperoni along the surface of the crescent roll. Starting with the widest end, roll into the narrowest end.
Place the crescents seam side down on an ungreased or parchment-covered baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with seasoning. Bake and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve with warm marinara sauce or pizza sauce.
Recipe notes and helpful tips
- Use name-brand refrigerated crescent rolls. I don’t want to sound like a snob, but I think they are better.
- Use dried herbs. With this particular recipe, they work better than fresh herbs.
- Other ingredients to add in small amounts include cooked bacon, onions, cooked sausage, cooked ground beef, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, and any of your other favorite pizza toppings.
- Don’t skip the beaten egg; it really does make them look AMAZING!
- Overlap the pepperoni when placing it on the crescent rolls. They will taste better and look better.
- I like to serve them with warm pizza sauce, but in a pinch, marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce works well too.
Storage and Reheat
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 300 degrees, wrapped in an aluminum foil tent, or at reduced power in the microwave.
These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls make the best kid-friendly appetizers and are perfect for birthday parties and sleepovers! Maybe you and the kids just got back from swimming, and you need a quick meal before you head out for a bike ride. If you have twenty minutes and a handful of ingredients, you can shower love on your hubby and kids. Perhaps the love will come right back to you tenfold. Enjoy my awesome friends!

You say to save leftovers in refrigerator for up to 3 days. How do you heat them after being refrigerated? What temp and for how long?
Beth Pierce
Sorry about the delay. So busy lately. Remove them from the fridge for about 30 minutes to come to room temperature. Preheat oven to 300 and place on a baking sheet. Reheat for about 5-7 minutes or until warm.

These were delicious!! Any tips for helping the cheese to not melt & ooze out all over the pan? Wondering if maybe cutting the mozzarella sticks then freezing for a bit might help, or closing up the ends of the crescent dough?
Beth Pierce
Sorry about the delay. Yes, freezing the sticks would help.
Melissa

Hi! I was wondering about how many pepperoni you put on each one? And do you just put them on the wide end or on the whole surface of it?
Beth Pierce
Sorry about the delay. I have been feeling a little under the weather lately. Just a few pepperoni (3-4) down the line. They can overlap and hang over the edge a bit. It does not have to be perfect.

I just made these and baked at 375 degrees. Isn’t the timer for about 12-13 min and was going to check early. When there was still about 3 min left of that time, I started smelling burning. They were almost burnt on the bottom but perfect on top. They were baked on light cookie sheet and in middle of oven. Not sure what happened? They were still really good but would have been really delicious if not burnt. What happened?
Beth Pierce
Not sure. Did you preheat the oven? Could your oven be running hot?
Val
These are sooooooo good. They are super simple
