Add a Little Zip with Sriracha Mayonaisse
Discover the simple and quick recipe for homemade spicy Sriracha mayo. This versatile condiment can add a zing of flavor to sandwiches, burgers, and more in less than 5 minutes. I love to serve it with fried green beans, corn dogs, and blooming onions.
It can be made up to three days in advance and stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. It is also excellent as a spread on sandwiches, burritos, and quesadillas.
Ingredients Needed
- Mayonnaise: I really like Duke’s
- Sriracha: Thai chili sauce
- Seasonings: salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper
- Lemon juice: preferably from fresh lemons
How to Make It
Just mix up everything in a bowl, cover and refrigerate.
Tips and Tricks
- For optimal flavor, use good quality real mayonnaise, not salad dressing.
- Sriracha Sauce can be found in the Asian food or condiment section of your local grocery store. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to nine months.
- You can substitute another type of hot sauce for the Sriracha, including Tabasco sauce, Franks hot sauce, or any Louisiana-style hot sauce.
- If you like it with a touch of sweetness add 1-2 tablespoons honey.
- Store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
What to Serve With It
- Fried Shrimp
- Crab rangoon or cream cheese wontons
- Burgers
- Quesadillas
