Season the cube steak. Whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and black pepper in one bowl. Then, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, and hot sauce in another.

Dredge the cube steaks in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture. Refrigerate.

Fry the cube steaks in vegetable oil. Drain, then move to a baking sheet and place in a warm oven.

Drain all but some of the oil from the skillet. Sprinkle with flour and cook. Add milk while whisking and simmer. Then, season and serve.
